Give the crews guns?
I mean though with Rubber bullets but make sure they hurt a bitch, simply put the laws need changing.

To bad the goverment is trying to shut down airsoft as these would be ideal!
Non-lethal, ideal for the job (although gas powered ones are not so great on cold days)

They obviously need a method of defending themsselves, as it currently seems yobs can hit punch shoot rape, etc etc and get away with it, and no matter what we do back we get sued, slated, abused for doing something wrong?
I think something is seriously wrong here.

Wake up this really old thread! Interfering with the air ambulance is much more serious than interfering with police most of the time as most crimes are petty, someone's life is often at stake with the ambulance. Did this get changed so it's a crime now to do this because if not I will be writing to my MP, and so should you.
1 month of maximum jail time must be the shortest maximum jail sentence ever. Ever come across with a crime with a shorter maximum sentence (but still jail time) than that?
