Re: ebay question

iv'e just had a message on my ebay for a second chance to purchase these items, the original seller as put them up for sale again only now he as put a buy now sign with them.
i really want these items, but i'm not sure if this seller is ok to do business with especially as these items where sold previously to another bidder.
what would you do.

regards
andy

What are his feedback comments like? If they all say that he is a good seller (or even if there's a majority saying he is), then he's probably worth dealing with.

Don't forget that, if you do have any problems, you can contact ebay to try to sort it out

Re: ebay question

is feedback comments are excellent with no negative comments.
its just that i have my suspicions he or somebody he knows ran the bids up.
having said that i am quite prepared to pay what he is asking for the item.and i suppose if i pay through paypal i should be ok do you think.

Re: ebay question

If his feedback is 100% positive, that would suggest that he's alright.

Having said that, if he has the 'buy it now' option, could you not put some bids in then, if you think the price is too high, just buy it off him (as long as the price is acceptable anyway)?

Re: ebay question

AIUI a second chance offer gives you (and possibly you alone) the opportunity to buy the item at your highest bid price after a previous higher bidder has failed to pay for it.

As such it is a "Buy it now" offer, however I'm not sure if by "the original seller as put them up for sale again" you mean that he has *also* put them up as a general item as well as a Second Chance Offer only for you in which case, if I still wanted it I'd take the lower price!

In which case they would only be offered as a "Buy it now" deal.
