Re: Battlefield 2 Demo!!
Going to give this a go on my 8500LE tomorow, but I bet it's going to be crap gameplay for me
EDIT: Oh, and upgrading my ATI drivers to 5.6 has totally screwed up the ATI control center, nice job ATI

I get that all the time, sometimes have to reload the game 2 or 3 times in one session due to that. Really messed up..

Well my mate who has a 9200 and gets a 3DMark03 score of 800, which I get 1083, says the demo plays fine for him. But I bet he had everything (and I mean everything) set to lowest

Re: Battlefield 2 Demo!!
Yeah, this rocks. I'd go so far as to say it beats Call of Duty - let's hope CoD2 will be this good.
I have had a few technical problems however. Not sure that the demo is completely stable. I have run into problems mostly on the menu screens... sometimes I get the choice of playing single player or multiplayer, sometimes it just goes directly to multiplayer. Single player very frequently hangs my PC. But, when it does work, it's so God-damn-good that I forget all about those problems.
Definitely gonna be buying this one when it's released.

Re: Battlefield 2 Demo!!
It sure is amazing, I'm addicted and I didn't care for bf'42. After having to play a css clanmatch, the game just felt sooo dull compared to bf2..I can't wait for the full release

Re: Battlefield 2 Demo!!
I was pleasantly surprised to find this runs on my laptop mix of medium, high and low settings for video, runs quite smoothe, doesnt look the best though, however my laptop is below the minimum spec for cpu clock speed and videocard memory.
1.5ghz Pentium M
64mb Radeon 9700Mobile
512mb RAM.
top marks to dice.

Re: Battlefield 2 Demo!!
There is an issue with some ports needing to be open in order for server information to be recieved. Look at the BF2 website for further info. It leads to zero pings for certain servers. Maybe it's BF2 waiting for your firewall to allow X through??

Don't waste your time with it, if you're spending aroun £80-90 you may as well go for a 9700 Pro or 9800 Pro.
