I have little interest in the protetors or what they stand for. What I do have a problem with is the fact that if I were to shout anti-Jewish or anti-Muslim slogans, I would be arrested for my anti-racial behaviour; but when these guys do it, nothing happens... seems a little discriminatory in itself, to me.

One part that is of interest is the quote from one of the Muslim protestors: "She comes here with her Jewish friends who are killing our people and then they come to our back yards"
Now, forgive me for pointing this out but there is a constant mention of people having a right to be in this country if they have a British passport... as far as I am aware, Oona King has one... but when a Muslim rips into her for being Jewish and claiming that she is in his "back yard"... where is the uproar now from all the "right-on" brigade?

You won't get any from me.. Discriminating against someone because of their religion or race is always bad. Regardless of your own race or religion.

Actually, I do agree. I am a white English male. If I have any problem with Racism directed against me, then I would expect the CRE to deal with this as they would with any colour or race.
Whether that would happen or not is another matter (not sure if the racism laws apply to white people, but if they don't, they should).

Seems all too worryingly true.

They do apply, but are very rarely enforced.... Come to think of it can anyone provide a link to a story about a white person winning a case against somone from another race who was being racist or discriminative?
The laws are actually stacked very much in their favour, there are often jobs for posts like social workers stating the applicant must be from an ethnic minority, or in some cases they will be a bit more specific. I have never seen an advert stating the applican must be of white origin, as it would not be allowed.

Some Christians are equally intolerant. It's the some that's important. Here we are talking about a small minority of Muslims, not the majority whom it is apparent from the MCB's stance and others, is very tolerant.
EDIT: Just read a few other posts and I see the usual uninformed crap is once again being spouted. I condemn all forms of discrimination and bigotry, from whichever quarter it comes. The same tired old arguments are yet again being aired so I'm off. Please feel free to mock me in my absence as a bleeding heart liberal who gave up on this one. I couldn;t give a flying one!

Actually, I don't know specifically what "uninformed crap" you are talking about, but it would be good to hear your thoughts on the (non-Sun) link that I provided? But like I said: "where is the uproar now from all the "right-on" brigade?" And this is what we get.

I have not seen any of the Welsh chapel attendees burning the union jack, or threatening to kill anyone who says anything against their religion. We just have to look and see the facts, you are correct when you say "some" and I wasn't saying "all" however some religions have "none"
There is a small minority, I will agree with you (saying that to keep the peace) but its certain religions that have this minority who carry out violent attacks. Religious people of UK origin are generally friendly non-violent people.
I will now expect links to violence caused by religion in the Tudor times

Yep, great article in the usual inimitable Littlejohn style. And it's hard to find anything in there that one can dispute...
But again, where are the CRE when it comes to anti-semitic abuse?

Re: radical muslims 'at it' again
to be honest i find the whole thing particulary sad, to hate someone because of religious/ethnic background is ludicrous..
hate the people who take actions in the name of religion to justify thier cause.

Likewise.
By the way, LOVE that pic! Did I read elsewhere that she is a friend of yours? You lucky man! (Sorry to go off-topic!)

Sadly religion is used as the excuse, I have always wondered if they would find something else to argue about if they didn't have religion. I have never been able to understand how they can be so passionate/fanatical about such an issue.
I guess tolerance is the key issue, and when they also lack a sense of humour, all hell breaks loose. I get a bit of banter in work cos I'm Welsh, I then give some banter back to the English and mention the rugby etc. I guess if we were religious fundamentalists we would be shooting each other, cos my team is better than yours etc......

I condemn anti-semitism unreservedly - as I said, no place for racial or religious prejudice and bigotry in my life.
Frankly the thinly veiled Islamophobia that some on this forum promote is tiresome and I have argued against it countless times because the topic has been raised countless times - with some it seems an obsession. So, unless somebody has something new and informed to say, I'm not going to bother commenting.

A link was posted: have you no comment? As for Islamophobia, I think that's a bit rich. Several people have shown a poor view of the Commission for Racial Equality: have you no comment?
I could accuse you of "Christianophobia" for claiming that some Christians are intolerant, but I haven't. What is the problem here? You perceive one issue that you find distasteful so you go off in a huff; Jeeez! There are so many valid points here that you completely ignore, and justify it by pulling the old "Islam" card... well it doesn't work.
