Yes, nuisance calls need to be investigated by the Police - working in association with the telco (as BT point out on their very helpful website). My point is merely that just telling a customer to call the Police is not a terribly proactive or supportive response. To judge how seriously NTL takes nuisance calls try googling "dealing with nuisance calls". Numero uno response is a very comprehensive BT site. Try googling "NTL dealing with nuisance calls" and you get first a BBC site replicating BT's advice with links to BT and Telewest advice sites with NTL's presence confined to listing customer services' number. The third response is this very forum, with a thread bemoaning how NTL does not provide the same kind of advice as other telcos. I will willingly praise good service from NTL (did so recently with Tech support who I generally find a very good and disarmingly honest) and hold my hands up when I get things wrong (sadly also did that recently!) but I also reserve the right to point out when, in my opinion, the company fails to deliver a decent service.
