Ultimate think about it.

Cabinet gets smashed, it may have damaged the cables underground as well.

They fixed everything, my neighbour got everything back, phone TV and internet, I got TV and internet, just not phone. And they left a card at my door saying everything is working, phone doesn't work.

Restoring an entire cabinet is not a minor job, there are bound to be the odd problems afterwards. Simply contact ntl on Monday and explain the problem.

Re: NTL junction box smashed to smithereens

Final posting from me on this thread.

I phoned up NTL this morning, booked an engineer to come out in the afternoon, he came on time and sorted out the phone line. Now everything is back. Well done NTL!

IS there no 24 hour number where by you can speak to somebody about a fault, not just an answering service?

BT have their faults but atleast you can talk to a human being...

I wouldn't imagine that there would be a room full of operatives waiting to take fault calls all through the night. Maybe if the ones that were on duty were all taking calls any other customers trying to get through would get an answerphone response and a call back from an operative when one was free. Did you leave a message?

For all you know there may be a man and a van already trying to rectify the problem, particularly if more than you are affected by the fault. Maybe one of the NTL peeps could tell us how the overnight telephone fault service works?

Re: NTL junction box smashed to smithereens

I believe that if its BB or Telly your out of luck, the 24 hour number is for phone faults only, even then it I think they'll only just to it if you're an "at risk customer".
