I have never understood people at the bottom standing up for the company as if were there own personally owned company!
I laugh at people sat in callcentres who belittle things they know nothing about, technicians out on the network used to have to pay for petrol for the generators to keep cabinets running during power outages and not get the expenses paid back.
We were even advised by our managers to book an extra hours overtime to cover the costs because the company were ripping us off. The management found out about these practices and then started looking inot hours booked against times faults were booked off etc.
go on keep sticking up for the great company that employs you

I can never understand how anyone can defend the indefensible.
They are so shoddy in their dealings with people, not just their own staff, all you lot on here who defend ntl, they dont give a toss about you, your expendable just like anyone in this world, stop defending an atrocious company.
It probably is right that ntl employees cannot change everything, but one thing they can do is stop being so bloody defensive.
Upgrading speeds for new customers, but expecting existing customers to pay a £25 fee, what is going on here?

You've already had one speed increase for free - what more do you want????

sorry i think you misunderstood my point, the upgrade is happening fact, the upgrade fee is happening fact as Simon Duffy himself has confirmed this What is unclear is if new customers can walk straight into these new levels without paying. As OB says if your not happy don't upgrade
Scooby Edit sorry neil..... i won't say anything else on this matter *shuts up*

Re: What Gives!!?!?!?!?!
Been wondering what speed you would get if you changed tier from say the 300k service to the 750k/2Mb tier and if any fee would be charged? I know the answer is wait and see but you still wonder.

Re: What Gives!!?!?!?!?!
Ravedadave,
Try emailing NTL;Home's MD: aizad.hussain@ntl.com. The error of the company's ways needs pointing out to him at every opportunity and they can hardly argue notice hasn't been given when you've contacted the top man.You could also email your regional MD (contacts on the Knowledgebase pages). I've done this in the past and had an excellent response. He phoned me personally and had an engineer out straight away to resolve my local problems resolved. Sadly, the national picture....
PS. Cable Forum folk: I believe Alan Grant is no longer northern regional so you may want to update the knowledgebase.

That explanation will really satisfy disgruntled customers when theyre calling in their droves wont it?
Treat all customers the same, if one customer isnt having to pay a fee then no customer should have to, end of for me.
