IIRC, the digital ones could before CR3. It seems to be a silly ommision though.

Absolutely. Did nobody think that people might want to record programmes on holiday??

PS Thanks for the other suggestions, but I don't want to buy a whole new remote control just for one programme!

PPS I've just had a mail back from my friend (who has Sky+ !! ) and he's said he'll tape them for me, so that's sorted.
