Re: Where is NTL Community?
Her comments were not abusive however. She did not ATTACK Fraz, merely stated what she remembered of the situation and how many others saw the situation as well.
I do hope however that we are not going to get a long tirade about the end of NTHW.com and what everyone thought about it.The Extremely long thread about it on .com and here at .co.uk were very damaging and did nothing to bury any hatchet.
This site has in the last year moved on from that place and are now making a very good contribution to helping not only NTL customers but everyone who comes here seeking help with cable issues from both NTL and Telewest. It also provides good help on software and technological products.Lets take a leaf out of Frank's book and look forward.

Re: Where is NTL Community?
I was sorry to hear that Fraz was made redundant and he hasn't worked for NTL since February. In the fact he no longer works for them I doubt he will not be posting on these forums.
As for attacking Fraz I wasn't and I havent posted anything on here that I havent said to him over PMs MSN and emails.

I won't mention his name but he claimed he sold a community domain name ( http://www.ntlcommunity.com/ I believe it was) to ntl, users here on .co.uk kicked up a huge stink as he did not say any condition of sale was that ntl would put it to good use (which was his right but it would have been nice if it had turned out that way), it appeared purely as a sell-out.
Something never felt quite right about the whole thing and regularly over the next few weeks I did whois lok-ups on the domain name and it never was transfered to ntl. To this day it stays the same. Meanwhile the user in question decided he wasn't going to post here and has not been back since.
I may be wrong about it being a 'lie' and if I'm mistaked I apologise but he kicked up a huge noise about it all and if it was for nothing then I have little respect for that.

Re: Where is NTL Community?
Like i said Incog someones opinion can be taken by someone else as an attack
No where did I say that Kits comments were abusive as they simply were not.
I totally agree that this site has moved forward in the last year and it is now trying to help with other companies other than ntl. It seems suprising that an admin on here started this thread surely knowing that some members would come on here and talk abt the end of dot com not really sure how that helps move the site forward though :shrugs:

Fraz was brought in as a mod which created a lot of fuss (perhaps too much) which mostly was cos I wouldnt let it drop and in the process bored everyone to death. .com then went tits up which I partly got the blame for by the NTL management and now we hear after Fraz's clearly or apparent unwavering loyalty he has been made redundant. bizarre.

Here we go.

I would never wish redundancy on anyone.

Well, my intention was to hint that the community is here and is alive and kicking.
It was a slight dig at NTL for alienating thousands of 'net savvy users.
