Thats weird then. I've always been able to get to the 192.168.100.1 control panel for the modem, but on all attempts (and using as many options I could try), Docsdiag always brought back "Cable modem not found"

I've been trying for months, so like you said Robin, it must be fixed by a firmware upgrade or similar

Running PRTG now with no probs at all. Example: click here

Cable Modem Configuration

Type : Ambit ETH/USB Combo Cable Modem
Cable modem : Ambit Cable Modem
MAC address : XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
IP address : XX.XXX.XXX.XXX
Serial number : XXXXXXXXXXXX
Board ID : E08C004.00.00_EU03
Software version : 2.67.1011
Hardware version : 1.15
Boot Code version : 3.13.2
Web Based Configuration Pages version : 1.0.2
USB Adaptor Name : USB Cable Modem
USB MAC address : XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
USB vendor ID : 0bb2
USB product ID : 6098

Ambit 200

BTW RDHW - Your fix does not work with ICS Systems, Because you designate your new IP it becomes the primary and ICS uses that instead of your primary NTL ip address... causing problems - No connectivity on the other systems. Thats what I think the problem is anyway.
