Re: Battlefield 3
That's both discs though, you could just keep the MP disc installed instead.

Re: Battlefield 3
Strange - BF3 just arrived, so I popped the disc in, and it started downloading the entire game through Origin.
I can see STM kicking in some time soon.

I think for just the HD textures it's about 1.5Gb, I think installing each disk is about 8Gb each.

Disc 1 = 7.3GB
Disc 2 = 6.7GB
HD pack = 1.5GB
It says something doesn't it when disc 1 is the MP disc.

It says downloading, but it installs from the disc. It downloads an update, but that's all

Re: Battlefield 3
Well, it's taken two and a half hours so far (97% at the moment) - it asked me to change disks about an hour ago....
Update - now it's updating from the web - 472MB.
I will see if it will run on Vista and the current 8800GTX card.

Re: Battlefield 3
I had trouble finding a game but I just selected a server manually.

Re: Battlefield 3
Same here oredered it from amazon, few hour before the dead line finished (limited edition version), 2 day post. come saturday morning 8:35am.. it was mine
Then 2 hours of downloading, origin first + game second third browser patch & not forgetting my gpu driver update(nivdia >patch 280.62/285.62). Oh yes too... my email from amazon - "BF3 Specact DLC" package + the 1911 pistol (leaflet in disc box)+ the free improved "back to karkland" map (when released) from BF2 within the deal. Not bad mee thinks.
How did the install for others go like? rough/smooth/problem-matic? Let us know if you could be so kind

Pricey buggers ain't they, those gpu cards... some like the 580 GTX overclocked would nice in my box...but looking around > Asus 1GB GeForce GTX 560TI DirectCUII PCI-E Graphics Card was a good fair price for anybody to upgrade to while I found looking around for a new one... then found there was an a new driver for my aging (nicely) nivdia 240 GTS (in computer from new).
Happy hunting all..
