Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
Found a quote regarding vm's take on it. They arent going to pay itv anything lol
Tom Mockridge, chief executive of Virgin Media, said earlier this year: 'The Government has been clear, new fees should not be paid for mainstream channels. ITV is already fully compensated through its prominent position, audience reach and additional advertising revenue this delivers. It is carried for zero fee by all UK platforms and there is no reason why this shouldn't continue to be the case at Virgin Media.'

I hope Sky take the same stance too.

That's quite right, the DCMS made that very clear in the document I linked a few posts back. Unfortunately, the Government has back tracked from the original stance, the culture minister Lord Ashton said "we think it should be left to the market to decide that", when speaking about the possibility of Virgin Media being billed as a result of the repeal of cable's copyright exemption.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/...-virgin-media/
Of course, there has been an election since the original DCMS opinions were published and the current administration may hold a different view.

Sky have longer to negotiate, it won't really bother them until IPTV delivery of linear channels hits significant numbers. They also have time to build a Freeview hybrid platform and avoid any retransmission fees.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
E4 has now moved to channel 106. Channel 144 is displaying the "Channel Moved" slate.
SID 3904 - Sky Ocean Rescue HD has been parked on SID 3904 and removed from channel 244 on the EPG. The channel has also been parked in the double digit graveyard section of the EPG on channel 70, which is currently visible on the EPG, it shouldn't be.. presumably VM will hide this fairly quickly.
Channel 109: SID 2604 - Sky1 HD has been renamed Sky One HD
Channel 110: SID 4308 - Sky1 has been renamed Sky One
Channel 121: SID 1816 - Sky2 has been renamed as Sky Two
The stupidly named "Sky Fi" rebrands have reverted to Sky ScFi Horror and Sky SciFi & Hor HD.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
I wonder if Channel 4 will be allowed to move one of their other channels down to the old E4 slot.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
The Sky entertainment channels are getting a revamp. I suspect this doesn't go much beyond a different logo/ident, although some uninspiring new content is promised.

We think:
A) 4Seven HD moves to Channel 144.
B) E4 +1 moves to Channel 144, More4 moves to Channel 146, More 4 HD moves to Channel 147.
C) Same as B but More4 +1 moves to Channel 147.
Anything will not happen until sometime after October 15th.

Yes, I noticed it had gone when I got back home at around lunchtime. Interesting that selecting 7 and 0 from the remote didn't load the channel (not that there were any actual streams to load). Selecting 0, 7 & 0 did work, as did selecting the channel from the EPG but, in the absence of video and audio streams it just displayed a message that the channel wasn't currently available.

Hmm, I don't think any of my boxes rebooted. I'll ask around to see if there were any changes to the "linkage" section of the NIT overnight.

Exactly, truTV fell into the same trap at launch.
Worth noting that they haven't specifically said that it's currently a Sky exclusive.
