Sorry to sound like an absolute dummy... But what does this mean? Are certain channels better than others and do they just hook onto these channels at random?

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

the network figures it out during boot. if you put

192.168.100.1

in IE/chrome etc. and then click on router status (top right) youll get a menu of downstream, upstream.. have a look

One reboot isn't constant packet loss though...

I don't see any packet loss.

All I see are broken links.

Interesting. I just wish I knew what it all meant! When the PT came round he told me to keep an eye on my Upstream TX power and Downstream SNR levels, along with keeping a check on my post RS errors (of which I have 19 since the engineer reset my router and left). That page would come in handy (although I was checking it on the network status page).

This whole thing baffles me... All I know is that I'll not give up hassling the director of transmission operations until I have an internet connection I'm happy with

Stockton-on-Tees has its exchange enabled for fibre. you have no upgraded cabinet on the street you live on, or near by?

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

Mines looking great, i also had a 2nd upstream channel added this morning around 10am, the large red lines are where i rebooted the SH.

There is a strange dip in minimum latency every 2 hours, not sure what that could be.

Five days with a perfect graph and a perfect service. Can't account for the packet loss around 2.00 am though. Looks like Crawley had that too.

So VM now have global reach?

Probably a glitch on the link from the TBB ping server to VM's network?

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

I got massive slowness on establishing connections right now, eg. web pages pause before loading, image heavy pages have huge issues, sending an email takes 10 seconds etc.

However my tbb graph looks ok been 8.30am so am baffled.
