last night i had to send a 2 MB zip file via e-mail. I'm on the 600 K service and it took over 30 mins to send this. I've got port 25 open at the time. I was doing some uploading at the time but it was under 10 K and only really about 5-7 k that i was uploading so should have been fine.
Why are our uploads so cr*p ?

Now logged on the ntlworld.home status page. fault is nationwide, however the status page says it was reported this morning and fixed soon afterwards.

mine was clunky when I logged in at 1800, I got my mail eventually, but it took ages to connect.
<edit> I see it's back up as a problem on the status page.

What is going on...some accounts are bouncing off, and some are timing out is there an upgrade or another false promise?
I wish NTL would sort this issue out once and for all itâ₠¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢s been cr4p for years...

E-mail is poor tonight - even round here (where we rarely get failures). Looking at my monitor logs, smtp has been bad since just after 5pm, and pop3 has been timing out regularly since 6pm.
I'm still able to connect most of the time.
