Depending on your age, sounds like there's plenty of things onthat channel to give you a seizure.

What a load of complete rubbish the sd quality of the samsung is nowhere as good as the Sa V+ box i had it for over 2 years and when the samsung box came in i noticed it straight away, when it first came out a great article was done on this forum on the same thing surprisingly it has been deleted.

For me the Samsung had vastly superior PQ to the SA V+
The proof above is not only the most ridiculous statement i have read when you actually look what you are saying its the Only statement i have ever heard from anywhere stating this.

But PQ is subjective there's no definitive answer.

What are you talking about? I must have a decent TV then as the Samsung deffo has better pq. It even had a newer software version that made the menu look better at 1080i

Re: TiVo Picture Quality
The menu's were much better, but it's the TV picture that mattered.
Personally I noted a softer picture when VM changed my SA for Samsung
My opinion only

I assume if you put 520i and 1080i as your only choices in the Video Output settings, then you could easily switch between the two for SD and HD.

The green thumb button does that, not the up arrow.

The up arrow changes resolution when playing on demand. Doesn't seem to work for live tv. Would be nice feature to apply to all programs, recorded, live or online.

Still waiting on NickO from VM forum to comment on my issues. Wed is the absolute last day I think, 28 days from install. Cutting it a bit fine. I think sensible choice is to return and try it again just before Xmas (probably 500mb model as we'll not use more). Which will save us a few quid and hopefully some of the major bugs will be fixed. Although funny how the prospect of losing TiVo brought out some concerns over losing features (namely folders and extra storage).
