Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
My lad just got a confirmation email from University of South Carolina, stating he can undertake his second year of Uni there as an Exchange Student - result!

Fabulous Hugh, great opportunity for him, though I suspect you will miss him something rotten!

No offence taken sb and normally I would agree with you but under the circumstances some time it's better the devil you know and in this case Mr M seems to be under a fair bit of stress.

Well done to your son Hugh. Just being nosey, but does the academic year mirror ours over here?

Sounds as though it could become permanent, although I sincerely hope the original job holder makes a full recovery, but that is out of your hands, so no need for you to feel guilty. Pity about not being paid for holidays tho, I trust that this would alter if the job became yours. Let us know what you decide. Good luck!

Thanks for that, had no offer yet other than the two months that I'm doing, if a full job was to be offered I'ld take it. But I believe that extensions would happen in the short term, which I can live with until I leave or get taken on full time.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Well, After speaking to the company and explaining the situation to them they are more than happy to accomodate me with any needs that I may have. Work played a part in my breakdown so I think therefore that a clean break is whats needed.
I have a chance here to improve and I can't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Thank you for your advice everyone.
