Which isn't as good as the 120mb connection from Virgin and I'd much rather have entertainment channels/movie channels that I can watch in HD than a channel for free I'd probably watch once a week.
It's an inferior product to both Sky and Virgin.

Stop..I didn't say do without Sky or virgin, I said Broadband with free BT sports
And i disagree, having used all three, Virgin is pants for game playing, Sky is slightly better than pants, and so far BT is good
As to whether 120 mb is better than 60mb, no doubt faster...but for what purpose? Web browsing (no real difference), watching video? No difference as you can watch while downloading or save for later
Now adding BT infinity (free bt sports) and sky tv with sky sports...life is ok
Need the lottery win to say good

We might hear more in July about any changes to the Sky Basic package being renegotiated

Exactly. Also to me in some very nasty experience the problems with VM customer service such as they are pale into nothing compared to BT.

Also add to the fact IF you are a heavy Internet user virgin now don't want you to be able to use your account for anything remotely heavy till 11pm at night... So your 120mb isn't doing you any good, you might as well be on BT 60 mb and use it heavily during peak times.

I agree.
You get better upload speed on BT too, which I would rather have.
Seems the best solution is BT Line, BT Fibre Broadband and Sky TV.
Just no BT Fibre here yet and no date given to when there will be

Not bothered about stats about BT. Am bothered about their rotten customer service and their two fingers to anyone who cannot or does not want their bb.

The upload speed makes a huge difference. It's something you might not think you need until you make use of it and then appreciate how much quicker the task completes.
Maybe the BT TV is a better choice than Sky if you are in to sport considering what they are offering at the moment? No being in to sports I think the Sky package suits me better and I often make use of the Sky go app on my android phone while having to wait around places. Defo an individual household choice depending on your needs.

Yeah, I really could do with the faster uploads.
As for BT Vision, not interested TBH, Sky will do me, plus as long as I had BT Broadband I get free BT Sports on the same satellite.

What do you define as heavy? I stream a huge amount of video content, much of it HD, throughout the day with no problem whatsoever.
I think you're perpetuating a false perception that I have found to be totally untrue.
