In the process of moving from sky to virgin but didnt want to loose sky atlantic sales guy offered me a good deal and told me that sky atlantic would be on virgin media within 2 months. He agreed that if it wasnt i could cancel my contract and not be tied into the 18months. Paperwork arrived today nothing on it. Phoned them up and once i got through to someone higher up they confirmed my deal, and i have recieved an email with a copy in the post with a new right to cancel.
He then told me that they have internally been given a launch date of the 27th november, not sure if anyone has a contact in vm to check this with. They seem confident, never known sky or virgin give a new customer a getout clause like that before.
Im sure people think this is made up and thats fine, im just passing on information i recieved thats all.

Yes and pigs might fly before we get Sky Atlantic.

To be honest I reckon part of it will be the broadcasters themselves see HD as a premium product, so will expect a greater return for their channels that the SD versions

Or maybe their costs initially are a lot higher.

Don't see how Virgin can class Dave HD as a premium channel when Dave is already on Freeview.

Does any think Sky might drop there HD charge for non premium HD channels in September 2012 and reduce the price of the HD Charge. Depending on the number of HD Channels on Virgin Media by then ?
