Well, we can argue that point all night, but shouldn't you have said, England are unlikely to win the world cup, rather than state something as fact that you clearly cannot know to be true .

Shouldn't you have stated that you believe what I said to be untrue, instead of implying it to be fact?
Oh and I'll stick my neck out here and say England won't win the World Cup - fact. I wish your national team well and I would like to see them win - but they won't.

I never said what you stated was necessarily untrue (as indeed it may be true) but I am interested in how you know it to be true. But this is getting a little silly and rather pedantic

Easy - because they're not good enough to win it - so they won't. If they do manage it then I won't have a problem in admitting how wrong I was - after all, being a quarter English (on a technicality of course) means I'm not bitter - just not in love with England as you are

Careful - OB shouted at me earlier for saying that very thing and adding a wink like you did - wonder if she'll ask you what it's all about like she did for me??
Doubt it....

Correction - they have the players to win it, perhaps not the team.

I have never slagged off the country or the people of Scotland. Just the supporters who ditch their own team to support an opponent of England

Someone starts a thread to try to wind the English fans up...starts supporting England's opponents, not because he has link to that country...and then moans about the reaction to it... a bit naive that...a bit like if I walked up to someone and punched them for no reason and then me moaning about them punching me back

Holland looked like England in the second half. Nothing but long balls . Still, we won, and survived the group of death. Should be an interesting match against Argentina.

Moans? Oh no mate - you mistake my intentions. I was being accused of slagging the English people which i did not do - what i DID do is slag the English team to hell and back because they are - a pile a pee water.
Slag me and slag Scotland all you want, im not moaning about it - im just pointing out that whilst i keep my banter directed towards the English "football" team some on here direct attacks at Scotland.
As a proud supporter of Scotland and everything in it, i have no inferiority complex about my nation of 5 million citizens, so feel free - slag away.
In the end people - in the end - the result is the same...
YOUR GONNA WIN FECK ALL!
Why - as you seem eager to ask - well, you have no team, no bottle, and no chance!
To win the World Cup you need a team, you have a bunch of individuals.
I now wish you good luck - as i know your going out and it will do you no good anyway.

I personally wouldn't say that England have no chance - however, I would say that we're going to have to play a lot better than we have done so far
For the record, I obviously want England to win whoever they play - on the flip side, I'm quite happy for Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic to go far in all competitions. Obviously, when / if they play England, I have no divided loyalties, but I do like to keep an eye out for all of the Home nations

Nice one Nug, it's a pity some of the sweaty socks don't have the same point of view.
