Today I learned the legal requirement for breaks in 1 20min break if people work more than 6hrs, that's ridiculous, my work plac does 2 30min breaks for a normal 7.5hr shift.
Why only water, why not tea,coffee etc?

Thats been the case for about 25 years, before that there was no legal requirement at all afaik.

It was sunny, quite hot & muggy here yesterday, so my plan was to mow the front and rear gardens today.
Luckily it's spitting with rain with the potential for bucketing down, oh shame, looks like another day gaming instead then

We had 3 big heat waves in June, I can't remember ever having hot weather for so long in 30-40 years.
I do need the nice weather to return though, I have 2 weeks off work in 2 weeks time, August needs a huge improvement.

Very very windy here in Glasgow, not much rain though. About 35mph just now with gusts up to 50-60mph.
Its an Amber warning for wind currently till about 10pm.
