Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. III.
Waiting for new channels seems a age.
Do Virgin Media constantly try to improve there TV services?
I think I might go to Sky when my contract ends. I worked out I'm only saving a few pound by staying with Virgin when I done a "build your own bundle" on Sky Sports website. Plus I will get the red button service.

Virgin Media are always trying to improve their tv service and if you look at what they have done in the last year like you will see that
30 HD channels including Sky premium HD channels
Sky Sports red button to launch fully at start of August
Tivo state of the art STB launch
Virgin deal with Spotify
And several other things as well.
And more channels to launch in second half of year

I think that ''bandle'' deal will end at the end of August when Sky cut their ''Famliy bandles'' from SIX packages to TWO packages on September 1st.

Well, just bear in mind that whilst Sky have more channels, Virgin Media have the best on demand system and Sky don't have catch up TV.
There will be developments during the course of this year on VM, and the TIVO box is well worth considering. Much better than Sky can offer, IMO.

Yes. TNT launched in the UK in 1993 as a evening/overnight classic film channel, sharing transponder space with Cartoon Network.
When Sky Digital launched, TCM was launched on that platform and TNT continued as an evening-only service and became a general entertainment channel broadcasting on analogue satellite (I don't think TNT ever laucnhed on Sky Digital). TNT closed in around 2000.

I agree with everything you have said(apart from your opinion and Anyitme+ has more content than vm ondemand) and later in the year when the Tivo developments you mention are released I hope you really enjoy them.
Obviously as you have stated sky have more channels and my family really enjoy channels that are currently only on sky

So despite the fact we get HD for free and additional boxes are only £6.25 per month, Sky is supposedly a better deal? They should be shot for charging £20.50 for years not plauded for still charging £4 more than Virgin.

Sky 3D
Sky Atlantic
Food Network
MGM HD
Al Jazeera English
Investigation Discovery
So out of the six respectable channels Sky have that Virgin don't that aren't just +1 or HD, which are the ones your family "really enjoys"? All I see is one popular channel and a overhyped tech demo.

all i was meaning was that vm charge £7 per box for movies and sports so if you have 2 boxes thats £14 with sky it will now be £10.25 for a far superior range of HD Channels,Bit of a cheek to force vm to charge £7 per box(and you aint getting all the sports hd for that)then drop the price so there customers only pay 1 charge

But as I understand it, that £7 charge is levied by Sky. As Sky's charge per box is changing, is it's likely VM's will also?

I would think it may depend on the agreement vm have in place for the carriage of sky sports/movie HD channels, just because skys price is changing does not necessarily follow vms will be.
Although for those that sub to them i hope they do.

Well it would be business madness for Virgin not to follow the same pricing as Sky if Sky do decide to change their pricing on this.
