Mine has been passed to a manager as well, seems like the managers are going to have a busy month!

PEARL JAM in the keywords field, separated by a space (to do an exact phrase match)

Good luck! Hope it all goes well. Most installations have no problems. Be prepared for the data to take a while to fully download. It may appear to be up and running but it can take a few days to be fully up to speed.
Let us know how you get on!

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Is there anywhere where I can read a summary of the pros and cons of TiVo? Without reading all of these two threads.
Not that it makes much difference as mine is being installed on 3/5 but I would like to know what I can/ can't do.
Thanks.

Very well.
They had to change the outside box (it had been there since '95, and wasn't big enough for whatever they had to fit for TiVo), swapped the V+ box for the V box in the lad's entertainment room, checked everything was up and running before they left, and took me through the main options, including how to set up a wishlist.
All in all, took about an hour, and so far everything appears to be hunky-dory. It will probably take me a while to get used to all the options, and I have to keep checking my daughter is taking all the tuners to record with her US reality show carp*....
*I just find out when it is next shown, and change the series link to that.

Don't hold your breath....
It's just a piece of kit, and whilst I am attracted to all things "oooh, shiny", I don't get too excited/upset over small features/niggles (big ones, yes, but others' definition of small/big may differ to mine ), as, after over 30 years in IT, I don't sweat over the small stuff (and it's mostly small stuff).
Anyhoo, beautiful weather, a week off, my iPad2 arriving sometime next week - I may have other distractions .

No offer of a demo here; they just installed and left.
Not a problem though
