Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. III.
It was Glenn, and he said he was told November....
Quoting unsubstantiated comments in another forum or blog isn't very helpful - repetition of unsubstantiated claims only devalues any valid information you may provide, if I can offer you some advice.

Don't you know how HD actually works? Those old movies were shot on film which have a much higher resolution that HD requires so any old Movie shot on film is essentially HD. Some Blu Rays of classic films actually look way better than some new digitally shot HD films!

Someone was told ITV 2,3,4 HD was coming to Virgin Media in November ? Is this true ? It would be great news if it was true.

How many times does he have to tell you?
It might not be being made public because there is nothing to be made public....

ITV 2, 3, 4 HD will come eventually IMO.
IMO the big one to get still is Sky sports HD 3&4.

Yeah in terms of HD content but not in viewing figures.
Yesterday I had to watch the Man United game in SD which sucked especially when the icon came up saying upgrade to HD now.

The PQ was poor might be cause I'm used to watching HD channels mostly these days.
I mostly watch Sky Sports HD 1&2 cause most of the top sport is on there but sometimes like yesterday it's on Sky sports 3&4. So having 3&4 in HD will come in handy.
Sky Sports News HD will be nice to have but not a big deal. Sky News HD I don't care about cause it's a horrible channel.

WTF? Does anyone know if Box Nation really are in talks with Virgin? I e-mailed Box Nation 2 days ago asking for more info regarding their launch on virgin but nothing back so far.
As crazy as this might sound I will have to leave Virgin if this isn't coming to cable. Forget movies, forget football, forget on demand, forget HD, boxing is my main passion and not being able to access a dedicated boxing channel is too much for me to take.
If anyone knows something is in the pipeline, but can't post here, please PM me. I just called Virgin customer services who know nothing about the channel. I don't want to leave Virgin because I have a sweet deal on my package however there comes a time when a difficult decision has to be made, and I'm about a day away from making it.

An now the Virgin logo's are back on the Box Nation website once more:
http://www.boxnation.tv/
I wish someone would confirm what is happening. The channel launches in 2 days time.

The big one to get must be Sky Atlantic - ITV 2, 3, 4 and SKy Sports we at least get in SD, Sky Atlantic we don't get at all.
I am not interested in Box Nation but sympathise with those who are and are desparately waiting to hear if VM will have it, it reminds me of the Sky Atlantic launch - sadly I wouldn't be surprised if a similar outcome comes along.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. III.
What I'm most curious about, is which HD channels will become available to which tiers, i.e. do these new ones only apply to those with L and XL packages or are M+ getting a few of them in addition to the regular BBC HD, BBC ONE HD, ITV 1 HD, 4 HD, 5 HD.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. III.
Personally, I can't see M+ getting more than the six HD channels it has anytime soon.
