Gus Poyet keen on replacing Paolo Di Canio at Sunderland
Gus Poyet has made it clear to Sunderland’s owner Ellis Short that he is keen to take on the challenge of rejuvenating the team after Paolo Di Canio’s short but ill-fated reign as manager.

Really no point going for the Carling Cup this year, squad doesn't have the depth.

League is more important. I don't think our squad has the depth to challenge for four competitions and so this is the one to be less concerned about. Even if that team somehow manages to beat West Brom we'll have to face a harder team eventually.
