Re: Samsung Galaxy S3
Personally I prefer Poweramp, because at the time I bought it Winamp didn't have an equalizer at all (not sure if it does now)

Re: Samsung Galaxy S3
On the subject of music players: Does anyone know of a music player for Android that allows you to sort artists by first letter only? I've got 20GB worth of music on my phone, and the stock Android music player lists all artists alphabetically, which means I always have to scroll through all artists. This gets a little laborious for artists further down the alphabet (particularly seeing that 'the' is a popular prefix for band names). I'd like to be able to (as I could on my Creative Zen) just select a letter of the alphabet to jump to all artists starting with that letter. I've not been able to find an Android music player that allows that though.

The stock one on my HTC Desire (rooted, on GingerBread now) doesn't though. I must say I'm tempted by the Galaxy, though I'll have to wait a couple of months till my birthday to justify paying £500 for a new phone...

Everyone I've tried does - including Poweramp. Just use the fast scroller at the side that scrolls by first letter and you can subselect by first+second letter in the default media player too.

Doh! I never noticed you can use the quick scroller that way. Not exactly intuitive that...

Remember this thread is about the Galaxy S3 and not Android music apps.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S3
The prices have been released and I can say not impressed really £99 for the handset no matter which tariff you take seems alittle strange too me not sure I can justify £99 and starting another 24 month contract.

I think the top tariff you get unlimited internet with Virgin, still a bit of a rip off to charge £99 with the top tariff.

It's free on a £24 a month contract.

Or you could get unlimited texts, unlimited minutes, unlimited * data and free handset for £31 a month.
*They call it 1GB but there's no limit or charge when you go over this amount, it just gets (a lot) slower

Re: Samsung Galaxy S3
Free at £34 a month on 3 on the one plan, unlimited internet, 2000 minutes, 5000 texts.
VM's pricing is ridiculous on this. They seriously need to rethink it. If they don't at least drop the £99 upfront fee I'm off.
