If only it was that simple ,"DPA and all that",is what i was told in an email response as to why i had to write to VM, a few months back!
As unless "I" , the (deaf) customer could not verify (over the phone)to VM staff (DPA and all that they said) certain security questions, then i would have to write to them ,as they (VM) don't have email facilities to deal with my questions about services that i had or was due to have !
So i know how pointless it would be of me to try and get this new CM's mac address registered

I did post earlier that if you have such a problem you can always have a friend or relative take the call for you and you are there if needed to answer any DPA questions asked, it would take around 5 minutes tops.

Everyone on the original 2meg will get upgraded by October whether they want it or not with the M package eventually being ditched.

I was sure this was a point raised in vm support newsgoup, the removal of (customers)access to the modems configs/logs,on the new cm's,?

That's strange, My Virgin Media reported I was on the L tariff, even before I called customer services.

It works in my Ambit 256 and most modems on the network but the is a known issue where some modems config pages show all zeroes, which does not help me do my job when I need you to log in to check the power levels for me.

It is bad enough that some people change the default password on the Ambits and then we cannot gain access to the configs because they forgot the password.

Send a new modem as we need access to the configs.

If it says your on L and you were previously on M then you have probably gone about the upgrade the wrong way. You have upgraded yourself to L and will pay the L price from your next bill.

Re: Free 2 to 10 upgrade
Moldova, are you able to speculate on how the upgrade programe works, areas/timescales etc? It appears looking at the ds forum that only ex-telewest users are being upgraded at the moment. I'm area 26 (ex-ntl) and the upgrade page tells me that my upgrade will be within 2 months.

It said L before I even called CSC , I only got acess to My Virgin Media a few days ago and it said L.
The virgin rep I spoke to ~24 hours ago, understood I mean't the free upgrade (extra £2), happing from May and continuing over the summer, he also understood I called because the "upgrade from 2Mb to 10Mb" link wasn't functioning as it returned it didn't recognize my speed.
