I slightly disagree, ive been asked it before and never been able to work out why, but surely the adult channels should be after the kids channels? I know you can turn them off but some people don't, im sure MumsNet are up in arms about it...

Good thinking, MB! Otherwise, imagine life with no more new entertainment channels
MTV MUSIC, MTV HD, Nick HD and BET to launch June 27th with The Jewellery Channel
A Virgin worker in Oldham told me this information today. I expect the rest of the Viacom channels will launch soon after. They at the Virgin kiosk think so, too!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 2.
For Viacom that only leaves:
Comedy Central Extra +1
MTV CLASSIC
MTV LIVE
MTV +1
Nick Jr. +1
BET +1

My own view is The adult channels should be after the radio channels - From Channel 970.
But Virgin will not do it so that why I have put Sports and News channels before we get to the Kids Channels as some of the kids know Virgin have got the channels they love on Channels 7-- mark right now.

I will be so happy for MTV HD to launch, don't really watch it, I just can't stand the fact that it's so terrible in SD.

It used to be suggested that they used their daytime slot on 5 USA as a gateway onto cable. No real surprise that the channel will be appearing in its own right now that they no longer have the slot on 5 USA.
|
Didn't 5 USA used to broadcast during the daytime?

I have also seen that Yesterday is becoming a completely factual channel (which it should have been, anyway) and I think all dramas will move over to Drama.
|
As it originally used to be, before they dumbed it down in an attempt to chase ratings.

Various bodies (and legislation) exist to ensure that large companies do not abuse their dominant position.

Just seen an ad on MTV ROCKS that confirmed Virgin Media will launch MTV MUSIC on June 27th on Virgin Channel 310.

I wonder why this wasn't taken into account when they recently reshuffled the EPG around that genre?

Didn't they used to have a drama channel in years gone by, or is my memory failing me?
It's good to see them move away from calling their channels ridiculous names.

It was done in the same deal, just launching these new channels has been delayed, or vice versa they jumped the gun with the numbering.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 2.
Thanks John, I thought so, thanks for clarifying that. It seems odd that they are resurrecting a format that they didn't feel worked for them last time and have moved away from calling their channels stupid names that don't give viewers any idea at all about what the channel shows.
This is despite them reporting that "Dave" etc achieved higher ratings after being rebranded

I think Good Food is the least silliest name out of the whole lot, I remember when they changed it to G.O.L.D for "Go on, Laugh Daily" then everyone just called it Gold, and they settled with it!
