Technically that statement is a lie anyway as VM has no 3pm kickoffs just like no other UK broadcaster does yet.

H'mm. You could view it as a lie, but I think most would understand that the statement was in relation to televised football, not every match ever played.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
I've not seen any reports of tests from Freesports on satellite yet, which I assume would provide the necessary feed to VM. If it cant be tested on the system VM might well delay the launch.

Yup, they started testing on satellite with colour bars, a clock and 1kh tone, but have now progressed to a rolling promo.

Are VM now in the business of adding their own pop up channels? I've noticed that Ch 100 is today advertising 'VM TV Exclusives Showcase' from 10pm starting with Ash V Evil Dead.
In the past this has been a Barker or simulcast channel, but I've not known them to playout their own material on it before, in fact I didn't know they had access to playout facilities!
|
Virgin Media Showcase (Channel 100) is on over two nights Last Night and Tonight.
They have done this before with Comedy Central (It has it own material) and Hayu.

Maybe for all we know the hold up is all about Premier Sports HD.
We feel that Premier Sports deal is up in October.
Premier Sports was launch in time for the last Rugby World Cup in 2013.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
You could well be right MB, maybe one or both parties want to tie carriage deals for both channels together.
