Re: Close Season Gossip & Rumour Thread
Hmmm, Tevez is highly ambitious, he won't turn United down.
WHU could do with a handy way of paying the £5m fine plus get a decent player - they should be able to get someone decent for £15m and use the rest of his transfer fee on the fine.

He will earn more for the club if he stays, Europe beckons with him as the inspiration.

Re: Close Season Gossip & Rumour Thread
The chances of WHU regularly qualifying for Europe? Fairly good. The chances of United? Almost guaranteed.

One thing is for sure, Shreck won't be the ugliest player on the pitch if Tevez is playing.
Jim.

Well, not quite.
Tevez was an unused sub in the game at upton park.

He might be! Tbh I have been suspicious all summer, mainly due to us being linked to expensive strikers, it was either Ashton's injury being much worse than reported or we were selling him, it looked like both Pardew and Curbs didn't know what to do with Carlito, playing him on the right wing for instance, it was only when Curbs looked completely shell shocked towards the end he played him up front

Considering we paid the fine within a week of getting it and bid £17 000 000 for a player I'd say money wasn't an issue for us

Re: Close Season Gossip & Rumour Thread
Other speculation regarding Man Utd.......
Quote:
Manchester United are willing to sell Giuseppe Rossi, according to Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi.
The Gialloblu have already made an offer for the Italian striker, who had a successful spell on loan with the Italian club last season. Rossi may be surplus to requirements should United complete the signing of Argentina international striker Carlos Tevez.
