Depends on the storyline. What storyline should the film be?

What would people think to both Atlantic and BT joining the XL package but that price going up by £3 a month? £2 going to BT per xl sub and £1 to the cost of Sky Atlantic.

I would not be happy at all and would not be prepared to pay it. Both Atlantic and BT Sport are channels that I don't want do therefore shouldn't have to fork out the extra in order for them to appear on the EPG

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.
This was taken from the article posted a few pages back

Earlier this year, Virgin Media sent an online survey out to customers asking whether they would be willing to pay slightly more for their top package if it were to include Premier League football and Sky Atlantic, which could pave the way for this move.
|
The info listed from that survey seems to suggest a new tier which could include BT Sport and Sky Atlantic maybe XXL. Anyone else read it like that , I could be wrong but that's how it reads in my opinion.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.
It was suggested a while back that VM were paying ESPN £2 per XL sub to be in the XL pack. I think BT would be mad not to take £4 per XL customer, £2 from the ESPN money and £2 from an increase. I also think that VM could get away with upping the Xl package by £3 without too many complaints.
People like me are in the minority i don't want BT or Atlantic but fear i will end up paying for them

It certainly seems plausible, and if they give it a reasonable price could be worth it. At least it would be our choice.

The price of the XL package went up already just 5 months ago. The money Virgin are saving from the loss of ESPN from the XL package, and the price hike in February, would make yet another price increase now very hard for some to swallow.
Virgin should have plenty of money to add even more quality channels to XL, without milking the customers yet again.

Completely agree and not just last 5 months, skysports subscribers have been hit as well separately (I think twice in one year but happy to be challenged on it), I still resent having to pay £7 for in essence 2 out of potential 6 HD channels (sport wise) but that's another story. But we had quite a few price increases with phone line etc if you add up the odd £1, £1.50 they increased over the last few years its a significant sum.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.
We're are saying goodbye to the ESPN and ESPN HD channels on August 1st 2013. After this they'll no longer be part of your TV packages.
But the Listings are still showing after August 1st on V+ HD boxes.

Been a long term lurker on here and decided to add my two cents about bt sports. I think if we get it, it will be part of the xl package or vip or even if you have xl with ss as surely its too late for vm to add it as a stand alone charged channel unless we're gonna get it late.
Virgin would have to advertise it and there would be too many people in the know by this point.
If it does arrive as part of xl etc, only the negotiations team and the top brass would need to know until its announced so as to avoid leaks.
It wouldn't make any sense for vm to agree to a seperate charge for the channel this late when they have already potentially lost those desperate and willing to pay for it to their rivals as everyone else waiting, including me, are hoping its included in xl or only willing to accept a smallish increase in the package cost.
I clearly dont have any insider info and im probably just hoping for the best!
Anyway cheers to all the contributers on here that have kept me in the know over the past few years
