I'm sorry? Liverpool are coming to get United? What are you coming to get us - an Indian takeway?

Nah, you can come and see the European Cup that you won if you like though!

I'm still curious as to what you're going to get us - perhaps a nice easter egg?
Ah yes, the Euro cup - sent it back to UEFA yet?
I'm sure it took pride of place amongst all those shiney wheel trims in the scouse trophy cabinet

Re: [Merged] The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
Time for Nistelrooy to go I think, unless the ball is laid on a plate to him in the six yard box his contribution to the team is nil, I think he only touched the ball about half a dozen times tonight and on one occasion where he was clean through and offside, the keeper saved the shot, but he still moaned at the linesman, WHY?
I think the guy is a liability to Manchester United Football Club and should be shown the door at the earliest possible opportunity.
On the other hand, Saha in comparison, has been a breath of fresh air, hence our recent good run of late.

I have never rated RVN, I think his high scoring record has been the result of his team mates superb passing to him in the 6 yard box, he has good first touch but I dont see him doing much work anywhere out the box.

That depends on your interpretation of "doing much out of the box". It's true he has only scored once outside the box, but that doesn't mean he doesn't contribute. I can't see Sir Alex Ferguson hanging on to a player that doesn't contribute, or any manager for that matter.

2 points, 4 games left. It's hotting up, If Oldham v Barnsley had been a draw today we'd have been in.
All we have to do is win our games.

Re: [Merged] The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
was at the Palace v Crewe game.. should have been 4-0 up by half time but Dougie didn't have his shooting boots on.
AJ showed he has bags more skill than Crouch yet again just ope he gets to the WC this year.. we in the play offs but poor defending cost us again yesterday when we should have had the game killed off

Re: [Merged] The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
Dilemma time watching the Spurs v Utd game, I so want my boys to win but also need for Spurs to win to keep him indoors happy so they can get the Champions League spot ahead of Arsenal
and if everything had gone to plan, we would have actually been at the match today which so far has proved to be a cracking game
