Liberty Media Chairman is John C. Malone. SO he does have stake within this company...

You can get a price rise maybe.
Seriously though bud just ring retentions see if they can offer you anything only they will be able to tell you what offers are available for you.

They didn't feel bad about going back to you after 3 months to tell you they want more money!

Deal signed between Liberty Global and Netflix including a revenue-sharing element. The offer covers 4K content from Netflix so this looks like it's on its way to VM's new box.

I have not had any discounts in 2 years, been a customer for 6 years. In the last 2 years my bill has gone from about £54 to £75. I phoned them up asking for a deal of some sorts and was basically told to take my business elsewhere. I have emailed the CEO and have been awaiting form a reply from his office but nothing yet.
What annoys me most is my employer is part of the xexec program and they have some very good deals with Virgin however they will not give me any of the deals as i am not a new customer. Sky offer their deals to existing customers as do Vodafone. My package is over £30 cheaper if i was a new customer and to take this deal, and i would get £150 in Amazon vouchers.

I don't think that phoning up and 'asking for a deal of some sorts' is really the way to go about it, old fruit.
Better to phone retentions and complain that your TV service has got too expensive, so you're off to Sky. Alternatively, just phone Customer Services and say you are looking at downgrading because it's all getting too expensive.
The 'gissa deal' approach does not really encourage the desired response from Customer Services, as you have found.
Oh yes, and be polite!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016) Vol 2
Haha nah wasn't me phoning saying give me a deal. I was polite and just phoned to cancel. I was asked why and I quoted some deals Sky and Now TV were offering. The guy said I can see you have made your mind up I'll put your cancellation through. Was all done in under 3 minutes. No attempt was made to keep my business. I said all this in my email to the CEO office.

Tell them what i told them "i'd rather have truly unlimited broadband with 20mbs upload speed that's a bit slower than a second rate broadband that gets throttled" that soon shuts them up.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016) Vol 2
As i said no attempt was made to keep my custom. No offer of downgrading my package or broadband speed to save money just sure ill put your cancellation through i almost got the impression that the person i spoke to thought i was better off with Sky.
a few mins later i got a call from Virgin asking me to rate the service. The person was polite enough and did what i asked but i can't believe how willing they were to just let me go. I honestly felt like my custom did not matter after that call.
