If theres more than one scart input on the TV you could change it over to rule out the TV.
No offence, but have you checked the mute isn't on, or that the volume isn't turned right down?

Are you seeing any issues? Either TV or return path.

Re: CR3: Any Feedback or Questions?
Are there any known issues with particular box versions? The only reason I ask is that when the code downloaded yesterday, the box seemed fine (speed wise) up until about 9pm last night when it virtually ground to a halt - 5-6 seconds to change up or down a channel which almost led to the box exiting the premises via the window! A reboot didn't cure the problem. This evening the box seems to be faster, but a few of the channels are way out of lip-sync (Sky One, UK Gold, CH4 to name a few) and rebooting doesn't cure the problem BTW my box is a 4001 HW Rev 3

I don't quite understand what you mean by this. If you're asking if I have noticed any problems, the answer would be no, not really.
The STB may have to be rebooted every few days or so because if freezes or fails to update the miniguide. But, as I said, nothing really wrong.

Ruled out the TV completly, rolled my other tv into the room too before calling, definatly an NTL problem, and one they seem to know about as they blamed the older boxes that have been updated with the new software for it as they have had lots of reports of it. Shame they won't be able to come out until Tuesday (They even stated this was due to lots of problems with the new software) to fix it though as we now currently have no sound on it at all.

Have you tried a different scart lead, could be faulty. Check no pins are bent at both ends.
The other thing to try is to tune your TV into the STB's RF feed and see if theres sound on that. I've heard of a box losing sound before on the scart outputs but the RF still being OK.
Ultimately the box sounds like it needs replacing, but the RF feed give you mono sound back until it can be replaced.

Keep watching this thread, and you'll be told when they decide to release the date.

Sam, you started this thread with the above statements nearly 6 weeks ago. Since then there have been numerous posts, on this and other forums, providing lots of feedback on the new software. My impression from them all is that there are definite issues with stability (reboots needed) and performance.
When can we expect a response to these and other problems? For example: - Are they valid?
- Are ntl trying to fix them as the roll-out proceeds, or are we all being given the same software, bugs and all?
- When can we expect them to be fixed in the areas that already have them?
- How did they manage to get through the lengthy development and testing that this software has been through?

Re: CR3: Any Feedback or Questions?
I had a 4010 box with the update but the box got replaced with a 4001 box the other day because of freezing issues with picture not related to the software upgrade. On the 4010 box interactive and help worked fine, now with the 4001 box when pressing help and interactive i get an M044 error
