It is good, but I no longer like Stuart Pearce seeing as Man City dumped my boys out of the Cup last night
Still, if you only actually play football for the l;ast 5 minutes of a match, I s'pose that's what happens, dammit!

I hope the authorities come down as hard on the Italians, as I'm sure they would on the English

Works both ways. If he wants to move clubs it means the club he's moving to doesn't have to pay compensation to get him out of the contract.

Yeah, but didn't Barcelona do pretty much the same thing with Beckham? In fact, I seem to remember that Laporta actually staked his bid for the presidency on the fact that Beckham was definitely going.
You do tend to find that the Spanish clubs in particular make these huge statements and probably 80% of them don't come off. Mind you, he'll probably sign for them now, and make me look like a pillock (not for the first time, obviously )

Re: [Merged] The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
Remember Real saying they definately weren't interested in Beckham?
Anyway let's hope Henri does shove off to Spain - more fun are Arsenal's expense
