personally I think prime is 25-28 some players decline even earlier. It depends on the player of course but I think players with bigger build usually decline earlier.

Anyone else think there ought to be some sort of cap on how much a club can spend of transfers per season?

Re: [Merged] The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
I think wages kill of clubs more then transfer fee's in fact large fee's can be saviours for clubs selling players to balance the books. The bosman ruling was one of many things that contributed to clubs hitting financial trouble.
Nffc check out leics 2nd goal on east midlands or sky sports news was a cracker from halfway line.

Hang on...is no-one going to mention the fact that Arsenal surprised the world at the weekend by winning away from home??

Is anyone really interested in a mid-table clash when neither team really has anything to play for?

Poor Wigan, felt so sorry for that poor chap (Chimbonda) who scored the own goal, they've played their hearts out tonight and come away with absolutely nothing. Still pleased that my boys won though

Yep, united were second best in the first half but made amends in the second, a draw would have been a fairer result.
