That may well be so, but what do retentions actually do for VM and for the customer if that is all they do?

Not take bad/unprofitable business, and try to retain those that are profitable...

I think it's obvious something is going to happen Aug 1st because that's when virgin's special offer runs out, now if they were just losing the channels and gaining nothing you'd think they'd keep that special offer running

Virgin Media @virginmedia we've no plans to add Sky Atlantic at the moment but we're in talks with BT about the sports channels. EW
as I expected no SA I removed the name who the reply was to so no SA just bt sports if they can do deal
