Ideally Martin O'Neill or Psycho but that's not going to happen.
An up and coming manager (Dave Penney, Phil Parkinson), one who believes in good football and has a history with the club as a player (Brian Laws, Nigel Clough), a superb motivator (Kevin Keegan), or someone from within (Ian McParland - ressies coach - or Nick Marshall - academy director) with someone experienced (David Pleat or Frank Clark) who knows the Forest way as DoF.
What puts me off the DoF idea though, is that I've never seen a club in this country where it's actually worked. Might be OK as an interim measure though whilst we look for something better...
One thing is certain, I want Megson's cronies (Barlow and Crawford) to follow him out the door, they're anti-football.
---------- Post added at 23:59 ---------- Previous post was at 23:59 ----------
another thing is that Forest tend not to go for employed managers...

Who is the caretaker boss? Our's has turned out all right so far, if he starts winning games then you can maybe afford to wait until the summer to replace megson same as what Leics are doing.

Not good
Quote:
Smith suffers horrific leg break
A grim-faced Ferguson said: "It's one of the worst I've seen. He's broken his leg and there's a dislocation of the ankle joint.
"It's a very long-term injury - we're all behind him as he's a brave lad."
The game was delayed by five minutes as Smith received treatment and he needed oxygen as he was stretchered off.

More dodgy refereeing aiding leeds.
We paid the same price as watford for scoring an early goal against leeds.
Price = red card and penalty to them.

Re: [Merged] The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
after the injury to smith the result doesn't seem to matter much
wasn't a great game but liverpool did what they needed to do to win
Palace let in a late goal too.. just after Tony Gale had said the game was over and Millwall weren't in it

And West Ham, 0 - 0 vs Bolton. I'm pleased they are doing so well, especially considering it's their first season back in the Premiership.

port vale 0-2 forest.
Well, Mugson could only manage one away win in 7 months and Barlow/McParland get one at the first attempt.

Frank Barlow and Ian McParland.
Alan Smith... don't really see how that ended up so bad! one minute he was charging towards freakshow's shot the next it'd hit one leg and the other was doing a 360-degree turn on the ground... don't ever recall a player getting a compound fracture and dislocated ankle from charging a shot down. That said, he always gives 100% so best wishes, don't especially like the lad or the club but it's not nice.
