Re: [Merged] The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
something that was pointed out about the Reina incident the after he touched Robben, Gallas ran up to him and pushed him in the chest with more force than was used by Reina but he never fell over and nothng was done about that
ATM the FA look at the video evidence for the dubious goals panel, they have stamped out on the dangerous practice of having slogans on t-shirts and pulling your shirt over your head but diving and cheating still does on during every match

Deary Me ! It's getting worse at highbury these days, it's looking more doubtful Arsenal will be participating in the champions league next season.
Still never mind, it's looking good for Spurs

No, things aren't too bad at Highbury - it's away from home that they suck

Arsenal: Lehmann, Eboue, Toure, Senderos, Flamini, Ljungberg, Fabregas, Silva, Pires (Hleb 79), Adebayor, Henry.
Line up against Liverpool
Are Arsenal the only all foreign team in the premiership?

i hate this too but the thing is the other prem teams do the same thing and so do the teams in div 1.. it's all a fall out from the bosman ruling which got rid of the 3+2 rules which meant that each national league was purely that.. these polititians can't see that sport needs these rules to protect itself
that's why there are so many africans etc playing in Europe as they are cheap and if they don't work out it is no loss to the clubs.. this leads to the big clubs having link ups with other clubs in Belgium, Norway etc so these Africans can play there for a few years and get an EU passport..
it leads to disgracefull treatment of these people purely in the name of money, greed and football just like the Mikel case
anyone catch the Real game.. they needed 5 goals and got 3 in 10 mins.. then only won 4-0 one short of what they needed to get to the Kings Cup Final.. Beckham goes another year with no trophy.. unless they win the European Cup

the bosman ruling was defenitly detrimental, with more free transfers going on we now have higher wages been paid meaning clubs arent saving any money and its harder for smaller clubs to sell players for profit.

I know how much it annoys nffc, when I quite rightly state that I support three different clubs, one of them had a good result tonight so, to nffc.
Apparantly, almost the complete Latics team from the 1990 Littlewoods Cup Final at Wembley ( I was there ) against Forest plus Joe Royle appeared on the pitch at half time, rumour is, that if they had put their boots on they would have murdered Forest.

Not in the mood tonight but 3-0 to us at our place, 3-0 to you at yours - evens out.
4 pts above 21st with the biggest squad and highest budget and wage bill in the division.
MEGSON OUT.
Did you go?

Would really have loved to go to this one as I knew the 1990 squad was on parade, unfortunately worked until 7.30, game of squash at 8.00, cooked the evening meal whilst watching the scores come through on SS news.
We are still above Doncaster Rovers as well so to Proppin, wherever you are.

Lucky you - I was stuck at work until 10 and was relying on http://score.planetfootball.com (shh) and text messages.

nffc is going to have reason to be very happy,
Glad it was my boys that pushed Megson over the edge.
