Re: 2010 General Election: The Cable Forum Exit Poll
How can Gordon Brown be PM if there is a hung parliament?
Going by exit polls. Labour = 255 + LD = 61. Joining forces together they get a grand total of 316. 10 shy of the magic 326.

Because people are lazy and television/computers have destroyed their attention spans/patience.

Re: 2010 General Election: The Cable Forum Exit Poll
I went to my polling station at 6pm and queued untill 10pm. I'd actually voted at 7am but I wanted to discourage others from voting
Being there for so long also gave me the opportunity to nick some ballot papers to ensure there weren't enough to go round

Some seats where challenged. 600 people turned away in a consistency with a 900 Lab Majority. Students turned away in Sheffield where Nick Clegg stands.

They could buy enough votes of confidence in GB from the other minor parties.
If enough MPs vote for GB, he stays in power.

I predict the Lab/Lib collation would only be possible if Lib dems hit 70 or above.

Re: 2010 General Election: The Cable Forum Exit Poll
There seems to be a fairly consistent larger turnout across the country. Does this favour any party over another?

I don't know. Could argue it either way:
1) People are sick of Labour and coming out to get rid of them
2) Labour are getting the vote up rising fears of a Tory government

Certainly where I work the polling stations had a larger turnout than previous elections with some having up to 75% turnout if not higher.

Re: 2010 General Election: The Cable Forum Exit Poll
With the exit polls giving the LibDems a poorer result than in two thousand and five, did they shoot themselves in the foot when the ousted Charles Kennedy?
