Buzz off :P
Least we know what the other 2 do, this one is unknown at the moment, and was phoning home every 10 minutes on my machine for updates, which, to me, is unacceptable.
The worst part is however, that it was sometimes launching 2 or 3 of them. Unacceptable IMO. (and most probably yours too, now you know what I mean )

Oh, and windows update and Firefox update can both be switched off, this one can't be to my knowledge. (Without deleting the file)

Really? I thought the opposite. It doesn't take much up on my machine - same on the PC as well.

Personally I'd rather have up-to-date protection, but whatever your preferences I guess.

Come off it mate, of course we like upto date things, but windows doesn't check every 10 minutes, and nor does Firefox... That's just excessive

Yeah Comodo would be driving me demented over that...and just for a browser. The only application I would want to update that often would be my AV and only because there was a threat...

re: Google Launches Internet Browser - Chrome
Funnily enough using Chrome for a few days has made me seek out other browsers and I have to say I'm quite impressed with Safari, it's now my default
( cue a smug comment from Chris T )

Oi! I'm not an Apple fanboy.
Actually I use FF3 on my Mac, Safari's a very nice, clean, fast browser, but you just can't tweak it the way you can tweak the Fox.

Well it's not too bad, I love the way the favourites on the bar swish about when you drag them around
