I think with Ronaldo, Rooney and Saha back in the side, which looks like it will be the next match, it will soon be over.

Laursen more than deserved Man of the Match, but it could have been any of the back four today - I'd have been happy with a 0-0, but this was just a fabulous result

Yes, did you see Deadly Doug sat behind him and then shake his hand as he left? He had a huge smile on his face

Yeah, me too. Funnily enough my Big Sis had tickets to the game... we were going to go and take my nipper along. However, as it would be his first Villa game I said we'd watch us play against another team - one that we stood a good chance of winning, as I didn't want his first experience to be a bad one. Really wish we'd gone, cause the atmosphere seemed electric - although the language was colourful at times too (especially the chants aimed at Terry, Drogba and Mourinho).
As such, my Sis flogged the tickets to a friend of her's... who is a big Chelski fan

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Talk about an amazing coincidence,
FC United the team founded by disgruntled Man U supporters upset by the Glazers takeover played in the FA Cup preliminary rounds over the weekend. The club, now in the Unibond Div 1 Nth, on level four of the pyramid, beat Trafford FC 5-2 to progress to the qualifying round proper. Their opponents in that game will be Fleetwood Town.
Over a century ago, Newton Heath FC's first ever game in the FA Cup was also against Fleetwood Town. If they manage to win six more games in the competition they could be drawn against the Reds.
Jim.

Hell of a lot of prestige comes with it to, as well as the weight of press and public expectation of course, I mean we ran Big Phil out of the job before his appointment was even announced, quite an achievement really

Guus Hiddink should have been employed to do the job, and maybe, just maybe he will get one over on England next Wednesday.
