Even with a TiVo I occasionally have to record programmes from the +1 channels due to clashes, so yes there is still a need for them.

One is Yesterday +1 been remove from viewers boxes.
Two is I think due to BBC Red button cuts.

At the moment we broadcast seven ‘Enhanced TV’ (ETV) video streams, which are used to provide enhanced coverage of BBC programmes (for example, sporting and music events). But outside of busy periods the streams are not all fully utilised. As a result of this change, the number of ETV streams on satellite and, consequently, cable, will reduce to five.

We will also be closing one of the mosaic video streams used to provide embedded content in some Red Button applications. The News video mosaic stream, or “multiscreen”, is unaffected by these changes.

I do not anything on the channels you have listed.

But when Yesterday +1 was on my V+ HD box I saw listing for Yesterday +1 starting on Tuesday even with ''Series Links''.

A: Yes Sky has closed Bravo, Channel One and Challenge Jackpot down. But us Virgin Media viewers will see some channels moving about as we have now got Sky1 HD, Sky Arts 1 HD and Sky Arts 2 HD on our network.

Virgin Media are "talking" to all suppliers of all HD channels in the UK . i got this email 3 weeks back.

Dear Martin

We are in discussion with the suppliers of all HD channels in the UK as we would like to bring more HD channels to our customers in the future. Unfortunately, it's not always possible for us to carry every channel we might want due to capacity and commercial considerations. However, we do constantly review and evolve the channels we make available and try very hard to give everyone something they really want. This is why is it's really useful to hear comments from customers like you as it helps us develop our future thinking and product roadmap.

Beyond that I am unable to comment on any unannounced launches or commercial discussions that are in progress as they are by their nature sensitive and confidential.
