I believe this affects xbox 360 as it wasn't region free. I've had no such issues with the One.

Thanks i only pay by CC or gift cards so looks like i will stick to UK.

You can add us gift cards as well instead of PayPal. Must be in USD though. Look at Amazon.com.

Had the message connect controller, during a BF4 game, luckily I had just been killed and was changing class.

Hard to say - no one knows. Microsoft themselves encouraged it when they limited the release markets. They made a comment along the lines of you can import the console and change your market. Microsoft have a habit of changing their minds so it's anyone's guess what will happen in the future!

When the console launches this November, we will support Xbox One in 13 markets. Xbox One may be used in all countries, including the non-launched markets. In addition, Xbox One games are not region locked. Any Xbox One game purchased at retail can be used in any country on any Xbox One.

That said, there needs to be a valid payment method corresponding to a supported launch country in order for any transactions to occur over Xbox Live, and some content may not be accessible outside launch markets due to geographic content restrictions imposed by content right holders.

You can't just use other people's address details to gain a service. It's called fraud, it even says so in the link he posted.

Yeah I've downloaded the most recent yesterday and the recent players bug is still broken, apparently FIFA and BF4 are the affected games.
