Problems in Manchester, DNS, Cache, Proxy, Email etc. etc.

Luckly i can do a vpn connection to work and get back on track.

Shabba, because I've been having problems with online gaming for weeks now (along with lots of others), and all that user could say is that we're all just a bunch of whingers for complaining...

Thats because our DNS servers have changed, and these havent given me a timeout in over an hour of constant ping.
Nslookup ...

Strange that plus.net had similiar problems a couple of days ago

dont know if you can help, couple of times when it wasn't working (google that is) www.answerferret.com came up - never heard of it, is this a problem with my computer or just an odd going on because of ntl, it's never happened before and only happened a couple of times

No, it was the guy i mentioned earlier in the thread...
He called me "one of life's whingers" for complaining about problems with online gaming, that no-one in NTL seems to be bothered about fixing.
