It's a moronic, illogical comment on many levels and indicates they have a massive chip on their shoulder. Very selective eyesight too.

Actually it's only part of SA football culture, Was just looking on Streetview round my old SA neighbourhood and the local Pam Brink rugby stadium (where we used to do all the school athletic meets) has a big sign outside saying "NO HORNS"

Re: FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa
The noise on the Ivory Coast vs Portugal game seems more intermittent. During the action it seems to be on and off but its continuous during set-pieces.
Very good match by the way, Ronaldo doing his usual and trying to ruin the opponents World Cup by getting them booked. OK it looked like it was going to be a very good match..expected a lot more from the second half especially when Drogba came on :|.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa
This made me laugh off the BBC news website
Quote:
18:22 Commentary
State media in North Korea say the country's leader, Kim Jong-il, has given the team advice on tactics ahead of the match. Whether this involved advice on how to close down attacking right-back Maicon or man-mark Kaka remains unclear.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa
they probably have guns underneath their outfits......
also what a silly silly man Robbie Earle is....
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertain...s/10322048.stm
what happend is that a group of Dutch ladies went to the game in dress (ladies in question they have a tiny logo of Bavaria on their outfit which as its Fifa doesnt look good for them as the brewery isnt on their "Sponsors list" and have been arrested on behalf of FIFA.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa
Actually they were Ejected from the ground not arrested, as yet wearing a logo not on FIFA's official list is not counted as a criminal offence in any country

Re: FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa
This has given Bavaria the massive amount of exposure they probably hoped for, perhaps far more in fact. Good job FIFA.
Is Bavaria on sale in the UK? Any company responsible for the sacking of an ITV football pundit deserves my lifelong devotion.

I think I saw it at Morrison's the other day. I wasn't tempted to buy it though

Re: FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa
Their (dare I say it**) Alcohol free (beer, apple beer and now wheat beer) is rarely not in our fridge but their alcoholic products are in most supermarkets as well and are getting quite a good reputation
**They are a lot better tasting than kaliber and actually taste like real beer
