Bahrain is typically as exciting as a plank of wood so no-one is missing out on anything good.

Sky will need to demonstrate that they are achieving the audience figures that make this deal viable. This would be a lot easier if it was broadcast on VM as well as the narrow-cast on the Sky Sports/ Sky HD subset.

The adverts don't say exclusive anywhere

Anyone who wanted to watch F1 this year could have done for 'free' on BBC. The switch to Sky isn't going to magic up any new viewers who want to pay for the privilege so the BBC numbers are the maximum possible. The 'exclusivity' of the Sky only races can only serve up a smaller audience.

Not technical free when you pay the TV license.

You have to have a TV license to watch anything in this country. Including free channels that are ad-supported. So your "point", such as it is, is moot.
Whether F1 was on BBC or ITV, it was technically "free" because no-one had to pay extra or subscribe in order to see it. All that was necessary was a TV license, the bare minimum required to watch anything in the UK.
___
Hopefully Sky will experience diminishing returns by monetizing it, to a point where their greed means a smaller and smaller subscriber base and eventually losses. This paywall crap does my head in. Just my opinion.

Re: SKY F1 HD Channel, Any Chance?
It is a shame the BBC had to cut its F1 coverage, i blame the government for freezing the lisence fee, cuting spending for then world service and forcing S4C into its care!
