You haven't explained the reasoning behind your remarks. Is it unreasonable for there to be some reciprocity as in two-way people movement? Many would say it's well overdue to introduce a measure of this type.

Trump kicked off if countries don't play ball he won't neither. None of these leaders would have stood up to Ukraine. It was because of Trump there was some movement no matter how little or large.

I don't disagree with reciprocal. My eventual point was these persons in positions of power should have the courage to do it themselves and not because Trump kicked off.

Where's the evidence that this specific UK suggestion is Trump inspired? It just seems like common sense to me. Mind you, it could get interesting if countries like Italy or Netherlands, ertc, get caught up in this.

It's very unlike far lefties to start barking orders at people of this kind. I mean causing offence is against the rules.

The UK government is not far left. Far left and far right parties are more likely to offend people than more centrist parties.

I can't be sure as to whether you are overthinking or underthinking the question. Possibly both.

The government has to reduce illegal immigration. Visa/returns reciprocity is one of the measures that could be implemented though it won't do much to stop the boats. It'll be better than the one in / one out nonsense with France. Indeed, since the migrants come from France, that should be the first return point, many would say.

Re: Starmer’s chronicles

Surely between England and France there's a stretch of water that is in neither territory. Therefore building a large floating platform there would allow those fleeing persecution etc to form their own little enclave and live happily ever after

On the crossing route, I don't think there is. If they stick to the well known '22 miles', or even venture into 24 mile territory, they pass directly into our territorial waters. No, what's required is an international incident with France to push the boats back. If the boats spill, we take the floating people back to France and they can refuse landing - it's on them then.

Btw, if they were fleeing persecution, then they's be genuine refugees. But they are fleeing France.

What are you actually saying? Stood up to Ukraine? Trump? I can't make sense of it.

Freeloaders Ukraine got told to get with the reality of things while the rest of the world sympathised with Ukraine then agreed with Trumps leadership.

What do you want me to explain?

Maybe your attitude to Ukraine who were invaded by Putin in 2022 and are kicking the hell out of its civilians right now.

I've been over this in the relevant thread before where my nonsensical posts were removed. I basically said they should move to America along with their friends. Clearly living next to Russia isn't for everyone.

Where has Damien been these past months asking me to explain his absence.

Freeloaders, they're paying in blood so we don't have to and for the money its cost America to cripple the Russian military for decades is worth twice or three times the price, only a moron or putin stooge would think otherwise which is probably why donnie thinks its a good idea because he's both and no one agreed with him, quite the opposite

So let me make sure I got this correct.
You think its the Ukrainians fault they got invaded, because they live next to Russia ? and they should all have moved to America ?

Moving to the USA is not on offer from Trump.

It's not about Ukranians not liking living next to Russia, they've done that all their lives. It's more the fact that their lives are at risk from an invading Russian army and its drones, aircraft, etc.
