Well as I said (For the third time), it's been specifically briefed out that ONLY the TiVo boxes will be getting Sky Premium HD content. It's very clear about this
Any restrictions to access will purely be technical.

Would be angrier than a bunch of blue noses at a Craig Whyte benefit gig

As I said it wouldn't be restricted to TiVo unless there was a good reason.

Problem is Ben in the original press release heralding anytime it did not state that HD content was for TiVo only. I pay my extra £7 so should get all the services for movies and sport. Big og from Virgin if what you've said 3 times is indeed accurate.

Probably a ploy to get customers who are resisting Tivo to swap over.

Cheers for info Ben. What technical reasons might there be for this content not being available to non Tivo customers?

I don't know for definate but my guess would be that the Premium HD content is in MPEG4 in order to be able to carry all the content
Only TiVo boxes can all be guaranteed to decode MPEG4. The V+HD boxes are mixed, the SA V+HD boxes can only do MPEG2
So rather than have a situation where HD content is listed, but not available because you may have the 'wrong' V+HD box, it's not on the V box platform at all - meaning the content which is available is the same and accessible no matter which V+HD or V HD box you have.
Also, yes it is then a selling point for the TiVo box

Ben is completely right TiVo only I'm afraid and it's due to it being mpeg4 content.

The press release states that HD will be available in movies and sports if you have a subscription. Cannot be clearer.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 1
OK, and why would that differ from non premium content like the Ronnie Wood show people have found in Sky Arts section of Anytime?

Why is the Ronnie Wood Sky Arts show on HD on my HD box? See previous post the original press release states if you subscribe to HD variant you will get it? That was basically untrue, is that what we're saying here?
