It would certainly be an interesting proposition , let's be honest Sky has some decent US shows across it's Sky Living and Sky One channels combining them on the one would be a good move in my opinion.

Not heard anything since the "in talks" situation where Viacom gave a provisional launch date of 10 April (since moved and confirmed to be 15 April).

You're right in that some 'leaks' can be traced back to the individual concerned and that it's not worth someone losing their job over, but I can't see it being possible in this instance.
All we know is that a number of unamed channels are testing on the system and that a sizeable number of people have access to this information. I doubt VM are particularly bothered, particularly as the channel names have been coded and the broadcasts encrypted.
That's not to say that I would encourage anybody to breach a trust on information passed to them.
|
Well MB's source is (for whatever reason) clearly concerned about it, regardless of how many people are testing, even in this instance. I don't understand why you can't grasp that.

It's not really launching on TalkTalk. TalkTalk YouView, BT YouView and retail YouView boxes provide the standard Freeview channels of which Spike will be one. But I appreciate that Spike's website does state TalkTalk so perhaps TalkTalk has paid to be included on the adverts and BT has not.

I'm sure i read somewhere that Spike will be on 2 channels on TalkTalk youview? The normal Freeview and then further up the channel numbers in the TalkTalk 'band'.
Pretty pointless i know but there you go!

Spike will be on the COM6 mux so wont be available to customers on Freeview Lite. I assume the dual slots would make a streamed version available to those people who cant get it "off-air".

Thanks, that explains the (what seemed at first) strange decision.
So those BT customers who are on Freeview Lite won't be getting it to begin with, unless BT agree to stream it as well.
