Yes, his passing and shooting have been poor at times.
Not sure about coq au vin either.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Good game for the neutrals with the amount of goals scored, but I don't think any Arsenal fan will be happy with that result. OK, they won but really shouldn't have gone 4 goals down. Just shows that the kids Arsene is bringing through aren't really good enough.
Saying that, I do hope that they can improve. Martinez could be a decent goalie if he learnt from someone like Seaman or Lehman, not looked to Almunia or Mannone for inspiration.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
If Chelsea v United is as fraught as the weekend's game then I don't think my heart would stand up to watching the whole match. Luckily, I can always watch rot and then switch over for the result about ten.

Oh who cares, it was great fun! An extraordinary match which will be far more rememberable as a result of the flaws and was more enjoyable for it as well.
This is what football is about really.

For Arsenal supporters tonight it must have been like going to jail for 10 years and then a week later you are suddenly going to get released.

i enjoyed it.
I thought there was positives from it.
Arsenal can fight back. Geroud was good in bits (great header).
I loved the game, even though it kept me up late

Yes it was great and one wonders what little delights are we going to get tonight in the other matches.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Two points to make, The Clattenburg affair. I am NOT a Chelsea fan as to me they are spoilt little brats that if someone took there dummies away they would cry wolf, and to me they allow there players get away with murder ie the Terry affair, he is still there captain, which he should not be and they have not even punished him.
Chelsea have a very poor record against referee's and have been fined many times at there treatment of them ie Graham Poll for prime example. They get TWO players sent off and this is what happens, some guys career is on the line, as he is supposed to have said something against a player - we don't know what was said BUT on Sky, they got a lip reader to read WHAT Clattenburg had said, and he stated 'there was nothing there that was defamatory against anyone'. As this is a very serious matter NOTHING has been heard of what Clattenburg has said. This will go on for months which is ridiculous.
On the Reading game - l thought it was brilliant game but Kozelski for Arsenal should have been SENT off for two bookable offences, he got booked and then the ref allowed two nasty tackles to go unpunished. And Wenger, my god does he moan.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Great article from The Times. http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/...83ccdc3e6ea15b
If you can get behind the paywall, sometimes the blogs are free, it's worth a read.
Quote:
Despite posting annual profits, Arsenal’s financial position is just as precarious as their status among England’s elite clubs, the continuation of which must be viewed as a significant over-performance given the restrictions under which they must operate.
And for that Arsenal fans have just one man to thank - Arsene Wenger - once they have stopped grumbling about their side’s inexorable decline, that is.
Without a sugar daddy willing to fund them. Arsenal are the Newcastle United of north London - blessed with a magnificent stadium and a large and loyal fan-base, but reliant upon superior scouting and player development to compete in the transfer market.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
salaries totalling to an amount that puts us in the 'top4'. spend within means. breaking even after player sales. the wasted amount of cash in salaries. ye ok over-performance business strive towards doing better spending less. we have a manager who in his own right is worth 100mil each window so the required spend isnt as much as you'd need under other managers. its all got to do with spending efficiently!
